Vintage placemat set, hand embroidered in dense beauvais stitching on sturdy linen, with picot-embellished edges. Mid-century France. Easily months in the making.
Condition is excellent, gently used. Hand laundered, bright and clean. We note some shade differences among the set, an overall antique patina to the linen, and a couple of napkins with slight unevenness in the linen color. All minor - this set is amazing, and looks quite marvelous.
