Breathtaking beautiful, incredibly rare.
Vintage 24pc lawn linen placemat setting for 12. Hand embroidered in elaborate beauvais stitch, worked with gold thread. No labels, but created by D Porthault in the late 1960s (identified in a 1969 D Porthault catalogue). Stunning.
Excellent condition, gently used. Laundered, clean and bright, a few almost imperceptible discolorations. Minor – these look marvelous.
Setting for 12;12 placemats, 12.5 x 17 inches,
