Friendship Lace Antique Point Venise Placemats & Runner - Setting for 12

Unusual set of antique placemats in point de Venise lace, each piece featuring two young friends and the word "society" above them, used in the sense of close and friendly companionship. Perfect for an elegant dinner of intimates. 

Excellent condition, gently used. Hand laundered, bright and clean. Handmade, with some differences in the faces on each piece (examples last photo). We note a few detached connectors in the lace, a couple small discolorations, and some shade variations across the set. Minor - these look wonderful.
