Vintage Silk Society Embroidery Tablecloth Topper 36" x 36"

Exquisite vintage table topper in Silk Society hand embroidery, circa 1920. Elaborately worked flowers and winding leaves in vibrant colors, embellished with lacy drawnwork.

Very good condition, gently used. Hand laundered, clean and bright, with only a couple of faint storage marks. As often seen with early Silk Society pieces, there’s some color migration from the thread onto the linen — most notably the gold from the leaves (see last photo for example). It’s subtle and easily forgiven, as the piece remains absolutely stunning.
