Holly, mistletoe and berries in a dense wreath of dimensional hand embroidery. Small holly sprigs mark the corners and sides. Worked on heavier linen, in a bright white that the photos didn't quite capture. Unmarked, but assuredly from a mid century French house, likely D. Porthault. From a fine Parisian auction. Festive and elegant.
Condition is excellent, gently used. Hand laundered and clean, a slight antique patina to the linen. This looks marvelous.
