Beautiful & unusual vintage linen tablecloth – period figures reminiscent of Marie Antoinette and her court. Entirely hand embroidered in the prized beauvais stitch, in rich colors. Assuredly French, definitely unique, and absolutely gorgeous.
Condition is excellent, gently used. Laundered, bright and clean. We note a slight antique patina to the linen, some light specks and marks, and a couple napkins where the edge seams have opened in places. All minor, and easily forgiven – this set is fabulous, and looks wonderful.
Tablecloth is rectangle shaped, 66 x 108 inches;8 napkins, 19.5 x 20 inches.
