A gorgeous vintage Rapisardi breakfast set hand embroidered in Italy on semi sheer linen—beautifully detailed, lush with medieval storytelling.
Inspired by the illuminated pages of the 15th-century Très Riches Heures, this scene shows a young couple exchanging rings, drawn from the manuscript’s depiction of April. Rich garments, courtly gestures and delicate landscape details are all worked in Rapisardi's distinctive embroidery stitch. The corner figures echo the zodiac signs from the original manuscript.
Excellent condition, gently used. Hand laundered, bright and clean, with a light antique patina.
