White Flowers & Butterflies Vintage Rapisardi 25pc Placemat Set

A lush garden in white and green, alive with butterflies.

White florals embroidered in Italy in Baroness Rapisardi’s signature punto stuoia stitch. Every placemat and matching napkin features a different bloom, from lily of the valley and airy sprays to full peonies and hydrangeas. Butterflies move across the set, and not one lands the same way twice, each varying slightly in shape and placement.

The embroidery is beautifully worked on lightweight, semi-sheer linen. A rare and gorgeous set for summer tables.

The runner is embroidered with the date April 22, 1966. Other pieces from this estate were similarly dated, likely marking a wedding commission.

Gently used, overall excellent condition. Hand laundered, clean and bright, with light patina and very slight shade variations. Presents beautifully.
