Exquisite antique Point de Venise lace, circa 1920.

Beautiful set of 8 placemats, featuring a wide border of true Point de Venise needle lace around a hand embroidered linen center. The lace is dense and intricate, floral motifs worked through a ground of delicate filler stitches. Graceful and lovely, like nothing you’ll find today.

Condition is excellent. Hand laundered, clean and bright, just a faint storage mark on one piece. This set looks wonderful.
