Vintage linen placemat set with morning glories in dense hand embroidery and open lattice centers, likely made in Madeira. We’ve never seen this design before — bold, graphic, gorgeous.
The color is a soft, faded blue, somewhere between chambray and denim, with the napkins a slightly brighter shade. The linen has a more casual weave, giving the set a relaxed feel, while the design takes center stage.
Very good condition, gently used, not quite perfect. Hand laundered, clean and bright, one placemat with a small hole (last photo).
