Cosmos in Bloom Vintage French Beauvais Linen Placemat Set for 4
$2,200.00
Richly hued cosmos flowers in a sweeping arch.
Superb beauvais hand embroidery, so finely shaded each petal seems a painting on linen. A setting for four in whisper light linen, likely batiste. Unmarked, but almost certainly mid century D. Porthault. More art than table linen.
Condition is excellent, gently used. Hand laundered, clean and bright. Slight shade variations in the linen, and two napkins a slightly smaller size. All minor, this set looks lovely.
8 pieces, setting for 4;
4 placemats, 13.5 x 17 inches,
4 napkins (two at 18 x 19 inches, two at 17 x 17 inches).
