Fabulous antique c1920 French Alencon lace tablecloth, featuring dramatic scenes from the great Calydonian Boar Hunt of ancient Greek mythology. Sculpted nude heroes battle the ferocious beast, spears aloft, dogs lunging in attack. Gorgeous Greek amphorae at each corner, with wide arabesque borders, and point d’esprit throughout. This is a rare showpiece.

Excellent condition, likely unused. Laundered, bright and clean. One or two tiny openings in the lace. This looks fantastic.
