Vintage placemat set, hand embroidered in Madeira. Calla lilies in linen appliqué on sheer organdy — a full, lush design that fills the placemat edge to edge, with pale yellow stamens the only note of color. The opaque linen petals against the sheer ground give the design a sense of depth and real visual impact.
Condition is excellent, gently used. Hand laundered, clean and bright. Four napkins are a shade brighter than the others, minor. The set looks wonderful.
