Fabulous vintage placemat set featuring Napoleon Bonaparte. Historic portraits, crests and crowns in dense embroidery and lavish ornamentation. Hand embroidered in Madeira. Perfect for the lover of history.
The twelve placemats feature four different themes (three placemats of each): Napoleon at Jena, Napoleon at Moscow, the crown of Napoleon and the crest of Napoleon. The runner highlights Jena and Moscow, with crowns along the sides. Each napkin features a flaming torch.
Excellent condition, never used, Madeira labels removed for cleaning. Hand laundered, bright and fresh. Looks marvelous.
