Rare and fabulous. Perfect for the beach house.
Tropical fish in pink, inspired by Matisse's "Jazz" cutouts. Appliqué on linen, machine embroidered, made in France by D Porthault circa 1980. A pattern we've never seen before – unique, striking and gorgeous.
Condition is excellent, never used. Hand laundered, bright and clean, a couple of rust specks, some variation in the color of the edging, and some slight variations to the appliqué colors. Minor, these look marvelous.
Setting for 6:6 placemats, 13 x 17.5 inches;
6 napkins, 19.5 x 20 inches.
